    Yes true the Pope said these things about smartphones and cars, however the context, according to Vatican radio, was a reference to holiness.

    Pope Francis said, in words to the effect, being miserable doesn’t equate to holiness happiness but that happiness doesn’t come from the latest smartphones or having flash cars.

    The secular media only picked up on the phones and cars stories. I guess they’re not into holiness.

    I can recall being sickened by the images of certain members of the ABC on another Catholic site when making comments on this or that, knowing what I did and now well founded.
    I'm sure populating Buenos Aires with his image would bring back too many memories for not just a few.
    It's a smart move so too, the selling of Mercedes, no money here for anyone who comes knocking on the door.
