Fr. Paulo Amato, a Tongan priest working in Jamaica, is in not only in charge of two parishes but is also working with the wider community.
Father Paulo says the church has organised a programme for the youth which involves preparing school leavers for the job market.
“We know there are lots of young people looking for jobs and we would like to provide a facility to train them, prepare them for the workforce, because coming out of high school not many of them are prepared to work. They need preparation to enter the workforce, and that’s what we hope to do.”
Fr Paulo is also try to set up a marching band in the local Technical High School
