Today I have had a couple of interviews, one with Radio Vaticana and one with the London Tablet. Both the reporters asked whether or not there was any one particular intervention that has spoken loud and clear to me, and of course what the general themes of the Synod are. So I have been thinking of what the main messages are that have begun to come through.
One of the things that is very clear is that the New Evangelisation is not a particular strategy or programme, but it is an invitation to meet Jesus Christ and to live a life-long relationship with Him. This involves being attracted to Jesus, being fascinated with him and “falling in love with him”, that also means of course falling in love with His Church and with His brothers and sisters too.
