97 years old and a Cluny Sister for 75 years

Sister Angela Cavey came to Fiji in 1967 at the age of 50. She spent six years teaching in Fiji before going to other countries in the region and finally coming back to Fiji to stay.

On Saturday she was hosted to a special lunch put on by the Sisters of Cluny and the St Joseph’s Secondary School Alumni to mark her 75 years as a Cluny nun.

IT was only two months ago that Sister Angela Cavey celebrated her 97th birthday.

“I didn’t expect so many people today. This makes me realise the power of the Lord and the happiness that I have attained by spreading the good gospel.”

As well as her work in Fiji she has taught all over the world — Ireland, France, England, Sierra Leone, Cook Islands, parts of Africa, New Zealand, andd Australia.
