The Anglican Dean of Waiapu had let his hair grow since October so it could subsequently be cut off for a good cause.
Rev. Michael Godfrey of Napier had his long hair cut on Easter Sunday to raise funds for the Leukaemia and Blood Council (LBC) New Zealand’s Shave for a Cure campaign.
Rev. Godfrey’s nephew died from leukaemia a decade ago.
