Many people may not be familiar with the Catholic tradition of celebrating the accomplishments of specific professions with a Mass and naming that celebration after an associated colour.
The Church has the Blue Mass for law enforcement professionals, the Red Mass for those involved in the legal profession — and now the Gold Mass, for Catholic scientists.
