US judge sentences Catholic to go to Baptist services

A US judge has ordered a Catholic involved in an altercation outside a sports event to attend 12 Sunday services in a local Baptist church.

Judge William Mallory of Cincinnati handed down this sentence to Jake Strotman, who had inflicted minor injuries on a member of a Baptist street preaching group outside the arena.

The sentence came at Strotman’s suggestion, as he could have been facing jail time.

He also had to pay a fine and lawyers’ costs.
