Bishop Leamy launches his autobiography

Emeritus Bishop of Rarotonga who served there as Bishop for 14 years before retiring in 1997 has launched his autobiography “Truly Blessed – My Story.” In it he records the struggles and joys of his priestly life, sharing personal stories and experiences. Sr Patricia Leamy, SMSM, the Bishop’s sister, writes in the foreword: “During his 50 years of priestly ministry, Bob has not only been a witness but has also been instrumental in the growth of the Catholic Church in Oceania.”

The autobiography covers Bishop Robin’s formative years in Wellington, his many years of ministry as priest and bishop in Christchurch and the South Pacific, and his time serving in Auckland and as a member of the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference. Bishop Leamy retired in 2009. He continues to assist Auckland Bishop Patrick Dunn in a range of episcopal duties.
