Believers often wonder why atheists care so much about issues that involve religion if they do not do not believe in God.
Ben Tegland, and atheist, tries to shed some light on the topic. He thinks believers lack critical thinking skills which he says “is one of the most important skill sets a person can have.”
“The ability to be skeptical can save you from a lot of pain in this life.”
He says that as long as religious people “push laws to legislate their convictions, as long as they are stifling progress with their myths, and as long as they are endangering the lives of their children, they will have a fight on their hands.”
In the world according to Ben, atheists do none of the above.
Ben Tegland did youth ministry for 6 years and was a licensed pastor, he now describes himself as a godless atheist, skeptical thinker, liberal minded kinda guy.
