NZ documentary on a mothers prolife choice screened world-wide

A Lower Hutt woman, faced with the choice of aborting her fatally deformed baby or carrying him to full term, decided to give life a chance.

Now a documentary on a mothers prolife choice has been picked up by Al-Jazeera’s English language channel and screened worldwide in up to 80 million homes.

The documentary on Claudia Astorga-Ralph’s moving story was made by film maker Anna McKessar, as part of her master’s degree, She said that people who watched it “cannot help but be moved by this family’s love and heart”.

“I felt the weight of responsibility as a storyteller to … extend the influence of that little life.”
