A 66-member all boy choir has recorded an album made up of 18 spiritual songs, which they sing at church.
Called Nanuma Lesu – Recall, the musical venture by boarders of Marist Brothers High School’s Ratu Mara Hostel is sponsored by their parents.
Yesterday, their publicist Theresa Chan said among the 18 songs was a tribute to Fiji’s prime minister and late statesman, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara, whom the hostel was named after.
The song, Ciri Koto, was written by Ratu Mara, himself a former student, while the music was composed by Sir Josua Rabukawaqa.
“The words are a deep reflection of the great loss and admiration Ratu Mara, a recognised world leader, chief and statesman had for Fiji,” Ms Chan said.
