Some Auckland business owners are dousing homeless people with water in an effort to shoo them away from their shop fronts, but critics are calling the method inhumane.
Auckland Chamber of Commerce chief executive Michael Barnett said homeless people could be intimidating and were not good for Auckland.
“It’s the mess they leave behind, it’s that filth that they’re left with, and then when confronted they intimidate staff … it’s not good for Auckland, it’s not good for businesses,” he said. Continue reading
