The Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life ordered an inquiry concerning the “Sodalitium of Christian Life” from Peru.
The movement’s superior general has admitted that allegations against its founder, Luis Fernando Figari, are true.
The abuse was of a psychological, physical and sexual nature, dating back to the 1970s-80s.
There have been calls to expel Figari from the movement.
