Drone flies host into church on Easter Sunday

A monstrance, containing the Host was flown in by a drone at the Easter Mass the in the São Geraldo Magela parish in the Archdiocese of Sorocaba in Brazil.

After well-known Blogger, Fr Z posted the video on his website the parish’s Facebook page has been visited almost 800,000 times and has been inundated with comments denouncing its use of the drone.

Most are in Portuguese, but the few English language reviews include:

“I pray your Chruch [sic] burns to the ground with the priests who allowed the drone to hold the Sacred Species and a better one replaces it. Congratulations on entering the running for worst Catholics in the universe.” Continue reading
