The Methodist Church in Fiji needs some of its practices reformed to suit 21st Century believers, says Education Minister Filipe Bole.
Mr Bole, who was chief guest at the Davuilevu Methodist Theological College graduation on Wednesday, told the gathering many Methodists were joining Pentecostal churches which, according to him, was an indication of “something missing”.
“Speaking of reforms, many despise the word because changes throw people out of their comfort zones,” he said.
“I am not saying that church commitments are wrong but merely suggesting them for probable reforms to bring about appropriateness and effectiveness.”
Twenty six Ministers graduated with Diploma in Theology and Bachelor of Divinity Program qualifications.
