In Samoa, the descendants of a Catholic Catechist gathered at the end of January for a family reunion.
The event was an opportunity for the children, and grandchildren of the late Reverend Mikaele
Fa’ata’ape-upu-olefaleao FK and the late Etevise Mikaele Toluono [nee Asuao Tofaeono] to gather together to renew family ties.
The programme contained various activities such as a family tree presentation, Catholic history-faith and teaching presentations and sports activities which were conducted in groups.”
The ninth child of the couple, Mulipola Tiufea Asuao Lupematasila said that 11 of the couple’s 14 children attended the get together.
The reunion began with the celebration of the Eucharist at the family’s residence at Manono uta where their parents are buried.
