Early missionary commemorated on first war memorial

Marist brother, (Antoine) Br Euloge Chabany, is the only European commemorated along side 15 kūpapa (Māori fighting on the government side) on New Zealand’s first war memorial. Auckland celebrates 125 years of Marist education in Samoa

The 125th  anniversary of Marist Education in Samoa was celebrated in Auckland on Saturday with Mass led by Father Talipope Vaifale followed by dinner.
