Religious freedom not secularism is Europe’s future

Religious freedom is now possible in European politics, says the Vatican Secretary for Relations with the States, Archbishop Paul Gallagher. He says religion is no longer a forbidden subject in European politics.

Gallagher’s comments came as top ecclesial and political leaders gather in Rome to discuss Europe’s future and identity.
