Chocolate artist Mirco Della Vecchia has created the heavenly treat out of a 1.5 ton block of dark chocolate. The statue was presented to Pope Francis at the Vatican last Wednesday

The labour of love took the artist and his 20 students a full 30 days to complete.

The chocolate pontiff is made out of dark chocolate from Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Read more
